How to buy networking equipment in bulk on Dealrs

  1. Post a buy request in the app

Say which networking equipment you need, the quantity, the condition, how soon and the price you want to pay. Dealrs reviews every request before it goes live.

  2. We find it and get back to you

The Dealrs team finds verified dealers who have what you asked for and gets back to you.

  3. Inspect, then pay the dealer

Agree the price and delivery with the dealer, check the goods, then pay. Dealrs doesn't take payment between buyers and sellers.

Getting your networking request right

Give the model if you have one. If not, describe the job: how many users, the size of the building, indoor or outdoor, and whether you need PoE. A dealer who knows the gear can suggest what fits.

For cable, say the category (Cat5e or Cat6), the number of boxes and whether you need pure copper. Ask for connectors and faceplates in the same order so the job doesn't stall.

Conditions

New, used or refurbished network gear

Most networking equipment sells new, but used enterprise gear is common and can be good value if you check it.

  1. Brand new

Sealed in the box and never used. Ask whether it comes with an official Nigerian warranty or is an import. Both are sold as "new", but only one is backed locally by the brand.

    What to check

    • Seal and box are intact
    • Serial number matches the box
    • Local warranty or import?

  2. Used (UK or local)

Ex-office switches and access points. Often still reliable, but they may need a reset and a firmware update, and some need a licence or controller to work fully.

    What to check

    • Reset it and check the firmware
    • Ask if it needs a licence or controller
    • Test it on your network

  3. Refurbished

Tested and reset before resale. Ask whether the dealer has updated the firmware and what testing was done.

    What to check

    • Ask whether the firmware was updated
    • Ask what testing was done

Installers buy what they know works. List the exact model, whether it's new or used, the firmware version if it's been updated, and a bulk price for multiple units or boxes of cable.

Networking buyers often come back for every new site. Record them as customers in the Dealer Hub, keep your cable and connector stock in the stock ledger, and you'll know what you can promise before you pick up the phone.

Can I buy network cable and routers in bulk on Dealrs?

Yes. Post a buy request in the Dealrs app with the model or job details and the quantity. The Dealrs team finds verified dealers who stock it and gets back to you.

Should I buy used enterprise switches?

They can be good value. Reset them, update the firmware from the brand's website, and check whether any features need a licence or controller before you buy a batch.

Why is some Cat6 cable so much cheaper?

It's often copper-clad aluminium rather than solid copper. It may work for short runs, but it's weaker over distance and with PoE. Ask the dealer, and check the conductor.

Can Dealrs install my network?

Dealrs doesn't do installations itself. You can post a request for ICT services, and the Dealrs team finds dealers who offer installation and gets back to you.
