Getting your laptop request right

Say the processor generation, not just "Core i5", for example "8th gen or newer". Add the RAM, SSD size, screen size, and whether you need a backlit keyboard, touchscreen or a particular Windows version installed.

For office batches, ask for the same model across the lot. Matching machines are easier to set up, repair and swap parts between. Say whether you need chargers, bags or mice included.

Specs matter more than the brand name with used laptops. Two "Core i5" laptops can be several generations apart.

  1. Brand new

    Sealed in the box and never used. Ask whether it comes with an official Nigerian warranty or is an import. Both are sold as "new", but only one is backed locally by the brand.
